Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the curbing take to dry?

Your curbing will be strong enough to walk on after 72 hours but caution should be taken during the first week. You should wait one week before doing any landscaping or lawn maintenance work. Please avoid any contact for the first 24 hours. Leave Sprinkler and irrigations systems off for 24 hours. Concrete takes approximately 28 days to fully cure.

How is the curbing installed and how long will it take to install?

All of our concrete is mixed on site by a member of our crew. Our mix is then manually extruded and free standing after being pushed through our curbing machine. We then use a hand trowel to provide a smooth, professional looking finish. Please  inform your lawn maintenance company to avoid getting to close to the curbing with lawnmowers.  Most jobs take 1-2 days at the most. There are some exceptions when installing highly decorative curbing or excessive prep work.

Is this product durable and long lasting?

Concrete curbing is the longest lasting form of landscape edging. It will not rust or rot over time. It is made to last for years to come.

What should I do before and after curbing is installed?

We ask that you mark your sprinkler heads before so we can avoid them during prep work. Please turn off Sprinkler and irrigation systems 24 hours before and after installation. After installation there is to be no contact during the first 24 hours. Do not wet the curbing with water. This will cause damage and repair. Please wait 5-7 days before mowing your lawn.  A coat of sealer will be applied after installation and we recommend doing this every two years to keep your curbing looking fresh.
